It is advisable to opt for a Sikkim State Registered Vehicle instead of a West Bengal State Registered Vehicle to avoid the hassle of shifting any other vehicle from Deorali to Gangtok.

Sikkim Nationalized Transport (SNT) offers state-run bus services from Siliguri to Gangtok and will drop you off at Deorali, from where a state-registered taxi must be hired.

The nearest railway station to Gangtok is New Jalpaiguri (NJP), which is about 120 km from Gangtok.
