In April 2023, I took a road trip along the Undiscovered North Coast Of Spain on the Bay of Biscay. I had always wanted to discover the Basque Country as well as the iconic, Picos de Europa mountain range. With flights from Gatwick into Bilbao this region has never been more accessible.

After spending time in Bilbao enjoying the capital of the Basque region, I hiked up to Gaztelugatxe and Bakio before heading across to the home of the Pintxos, San Sebastian, for a few days to relax and enjoy not only the food but also the wonderful beaches and hospitality.

From here the adventure really started as I visited the Spanish regions of the Basque Country, Cantabria, Asturias, and Galicia. In particular Zarautz and Getaria, Santander, the Picos de Europa, then A Coruna and Santiago de Compostela before continuing my journey into Porto and Braga in Northern Portugal.
