From today until November 14th, 20222, you can refer a friend from an eligible American Express Business card and earn an additional bonus on top of your Standard Referral Bonus.

If they’re approved, you can earn +4 Membership Rewards points per dollar on travel and transit purchases, on up to $20,000 in purchases for three months. Travel includes: airfare, hotels, cruises, tours, car rentals, campgrounds, third party travel websites, and amextravel.com. You will not earn additional points for purchases of timeshare properties. Transit includes: trains, taxicabs, rideshare services, ferries, tolls, parking, buses, and subways. Terms Apply.

That’s up to 80,000 bonus points for heavy travel spenders.

It’s only eligible on your American Express Business card referral links, but should kick in no matter what card they are approved for.

Keep in mind that while your standard referral bonus is taxable, these “kickers” are not, making them even more valuable.
