Summer is here and so is Summer reading!
Clearwater recently held four Summer Reading Kick-offs at each of the Clearwater Public libraries with music, crafts, and games. If you missed attending one, it’s not too late to participate in one of the Summer Reading Challenges to earn prizes as you read!

Challenges
1000 Books Before Kindergarten (ages 0 – 5)
Sept 1, 2021 – Aug 31, 2023
One thousand books? That seems like way too many, right? Not at all. You got this. It doesn’t matter if your child is three, or just three months – there’s no better time to start than now! Reading helps build social and emotional skills, sparks creativity and imagination, promotes bonding, and helps kids do well overall in school. Take that motivation, open one book, and get started. And remember, 1000 is just a number. The goal is to work reading aloud into your regular routine, and let the magic of stories do the rest.
Ocean of Possibilities Youth Summer Reading Challenge (Babies and Toddlers – 5th grade)
June 6, 2022 – July 31, 2022
Explore an Ocean of Possibilities with Beanstack this summer! Log the days you have read to earn badges and rewards. Keep logging reading daily during the summer. Every 5 days you will be eligible for a special prize. Visit your Clearwater Library often to redeem prizes.
Ocean of Possibilities Teen Summer Reading Challenge (6th grade – 12th grade)

Ocean of Possibilities Adult Summer Reading Challenge
June 6, 2022 – July 31, 2022
Summer Reading is not just for kids anymore. This summer, adults can have fun too! Adults can earn digital tickets to enter to win great prizes such as Zoo Tampa, Congo River Golf, Little Toot Dolphin Adventure, Starbucks Coffee and the Clearwater Marine Aquarium.
Explore an Ocean of Possibilities with Clearwater this summer! Log the days you read and complete activities in order to earn tickets to enter into prize drawings.

Deadline
All digital raffle tickets must be logged by Sunday, July 31st. Drawings will take place on Monday, August 1st. Winners will be contacted over the course of the following few days.
