On Saturday morning, a Fire burst out in a ground-plus-15 Raintree structure in Dadar’s Hindu Colony, killing a single person.
According to preliminary information provided via the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the Fire Broke out on the thirteenth floor of the multi-story structure at 8.37 a.m.
Sachin Patkar, 60, has been confirmed as the victim, according to police. Patkar was declared ‘brought dead’ by medical personnel at the civic-run Sion hospital after suffering from suffocation as a result of the smoke. There have been no other reports of injuries as a result of the fire.
According to BMC reports, “the fire was put out around 9:06 a.m.”.
The Saturday fire occurred one day after a massive fire broke out in Jogeshwari’s Heera Panna complex on Friday afternoon, killing a total of seven individuals, including three firefighters. According to officials, no lives were lost in the incident. The Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) saved fifteen individuals. The stranded people were evacuated using ladders from the terrace because most of them were on the second and third stories and had relocated to the terrace as a safeguard.
“The fire, which started on the 13th floor of the 15-story residential complex “Raintree Building,” killed one individual who suffocated from the smoke”, a report started.
BMC’s MFB reported at 0921 hours that someone had passed away because of the dense smoke and was transported to Sion Hospital. The death was confirmed by doctors at LTMG Sion Hospital. Sachin Patkar, a 60-year-old man, died as a result of inhaling smoke and was proclaimed dead.
Around 8.30 a.m., a fire broke out in unit 1302 on the 13th stage of the Raintree building in Hindu Colony. According to the official, “the flat was crammed with household items and shut”. “Despite the fact that the fire was put out in half an hour, a resident of the building, Sachin Patkar, remained unconscious due to the smoke”, according to the official.
According to the source, “Patkar was brought to the civic-run Sion hospital, where physicians proclaimed him dead. To put out the fire, two fire engines, a water tanker, and other firefighting equipment were dispatched”. He stated that “the precise cause has yet to be discovered.”
A big fire broke out earlier on Friday at Mumbai’s Hira Panna Mall in suburban Oshiwara. The mall’s fire contained 10 to 12 businesses. The electric wiring and systems in these stores were consumed in flames.
On Friday, approximately 20 people were evacuated after a large fire broke out at the Hira Panna Mall in Oshiwara, Jogeshwari, while three firefighters were injured due to smoke inhalation. Three victims, identified as Sandip Patil, Raju Singankar, and Yogesh Kondwar, were admitted to Cooper Hospital’s trauma centre, but their conditions are said to be stable presently.
According to a news outlet, “other people were also afraid of being stuck inside. The level-3 fire broke out at 3 p.m., and thick smoke stranded many inside the three-story mall. Five of them, who were at the gym at the time of the accident, had to be extricated from the terrace, while ladders were used to save nine others.”
According to fire officials, “the fire was contained to electric wiring and installation in 10–12 businesses on the second and third levels. The fire was put out after three hours of fighting using five small hose lines and a high-pressure pump”.
