Residents of this region should begin storing essential water on August 22, the day before. The residents must store at least enough water in a way that it will be enough for 24 hours from the early hours of Thursday until the next Friday morning.

They must also use water in as minimal a quantity as they can to prevent a shortage of water during these hours. The water supply will stay shut off after the reservoir has been repaired for technical concerns.

Additionally, the administration of the Mumbai Municipal Corporation is appealing for cooperation by asking people to use water responsibly while the water supply is switched off.
