The city of Brandon is found in Rankin County, Mississippi, United States. In the 2010 census, 21,705 people were living, working, and schooling there. 

Geographically, it is situated in the eastern part of the state capital in the Metropolitan Statistical Area and was incorporated on December 19, 1891.

4. Rankin County Confederate Monument

This Confederate Monument is located in between the North streets of square downtown Brandon and Government is known is one that catches the memorial war at the Rankin County. 

This monument was molded and mounted in the area by the Confederacy United Daughters of the Brandon in the year 1907. It was also enumerated on August 1, 1997, in the books of the National Register of Historic Places in Mississippi.

It appears as a soldier that was Confederated with his face directed towards the west in a wondering posture, having a pillar and a stable base standpoint. 

It has a height of 37 feet tall in sight, and on the west part of the statue is a pointing sword, a rifle that is crossed, and a swing bayonet with some inscriptions on the base area.

6. Lost Pizza Company

The company was at first a dream in the minds of the founders and was named after them, Lost Pizza Co. Their names were Brooks Roberts & Preston Lott, who met themselves in college as roommates in different departments and wanted to create something interesting. 

They sat together and came up with the desire to bring friends and colleagues together to enjoy themselves in a cozy, well-aerated, and nice environment to share interesting memories and eat good food prepared in the same place. 

Throughout their time together in college, they harbored this dream of blowing the minds of their friends and making unforgettable memories in an eatery, but this dream was put to a stop and not actualized at the time because they had graduated and had to go on with their lives, families, work and to face the world after their stay in school.

Some years later, now 2007, it happened that one of the roommates, Brooks and Jenny, his wife happened to move into their home in St. Croix, in the U.S. Virgin Islands. 

Preston, his roommate, came over to visit them in the Caribbean, and there, they agreed to actualize the dream they both had far back in college into a reality. Though, they had to carefully think about whether or not to position it in Indianola. 

They then took their belongings and settled for the Mississippi Delta, where they rested. The company was brought to reality in September 2007 in their hometown, Indianola, Mississippi, and was accompanied by another site close to Cleveland. 

In later years, two of their friends, named John Mark and Emily Elliot, sited and opened another branch of the company in Tupelo, Mississippi, in the year 2011. Going forward, other groups of companies and business moguls with the same business mind partnered with them. 

With this partnership, they grew and spread across shores to Alabama, Texas, Arkansas, Tennessee, and about 26 areas.

8. Black Rose Theatre

The movie theater was established first in 1991 with their opening production of Ayn Rand, the Night of January 16. The non-profit-oriented company is sited at 103. Black Street in Mississippi. 

A year after the opening, it premiered a movie called the Fantastiks as a way of holding grounds in Brandon. 

Students are encouraged to visit this movie theater as it would teach them a lot about the pros and cons of activities in the theater, stage acting, displays, lighting the stage, drama, dance, training in combat, custom preparations, presentation, and a host of others. 

The Black rose theatre is open for entry and visitations from the end of summer to the next year.

9. Steak Escape

It started off as an idea brought forward by Ken Smith and his friend, Mark Turner, who were both fans and addicts of a snack called the cheesesteak. 

They longed to share their experience with people around them and the world too. The year 1982 was when they had this longing; though they lacked support from their family and friends, they both agreed on opening the Steak Escape in another state, Columbus, Ohio.

After they had little or nothing to start a large business, but it didn’t hinder their cheesesteak from being the most demanded snack in the area. 

It was built in a little closet with an area of 209 square feet. The two friends were both amazed at how their business cut through corners and was popularly demanded and bought by visitors around the marketplace. 

They were astonished at how much people desired a more sophisticated sandwich than the conventional one.

As Steak Escape became popular and grew to expansion through the years and with the evolving societal demands, they had to look into the suggestions of their customers and discovered the need to incorporate a mall where people could have the cheesesteak meal with their friends and loved ones. 

This was going to be a greater source of revenue for them and promote their customer service.

With this idea, they embarked on numerous tactics to improve their services by providing the dining experience to go ahead of their competition in the area. 

They came up with plans to examine all the spheres of the business and put align it to focus majorly on the daily demands of their customers at Steak Escape. This arrangement and strategic planning created a more beautiful environment for their customers and fulfilled the dream they had prior.

Asides from offering the best customer service compared to other companies selling the cheesesteaks, they had faith, believed, and looked out for something more mind-blowing for their business. All of these made the company a center for cheesesteaks with the caption, PPP, which stands for PURPOSE, PRIDE, and PASSION.

10. GB Bakery

In Brandon, there is also a restaurant called the GB Bakery offering taste-worthy drinks and chops like pastries, bread and beverages, well-garnished smoothies, soda, and other drinks, and orange juice, too, with all being homemade. 

In this bakery, guests are served the whole meals of the day, including brunch. There are several coffee types you could choose from, like the frappes, the espresso, and the cold-brew intro. In all of these, I prefer buying Howlin’ Wulf with ice and condensed milk as the topping.

I will recommend that you go for the classic Cathead Biscuit or the Breakfast Empanada for breakfast. Another special meal from the bakery that you would love is a combination of biscuits, French toast, and waffles paired with three sides of some grills like eggs, sausages, fruits, and many more. 

The bakery is open throughout work days of the week, and some continental dishes are also prepared for lunch which would blow your mind.

11. Cobo’s Boutique 

It is a small boutique with the best cloth collection in town; it also offers the best shopping time with lots of options. This boutique is open for all age groups and features trending and beautiful wear for both men and women, children inclusive. 

To keep up with the most fashionable wear in town, Cobo’s boutique houses affordable and outstanding items like trousers, vintage shirts, caps, and sweaters.

12. Burgers, Blues, Barbecue

The Burgers, Blues, Barbecue place fondly called BBQ found its way to Brandon at the end of 2020. Before then, it started functioning as a site in Ridgeland in the first decade of the 21st century. 

Their catering services are at their disposal all day long, a music band at the patio to render sweet jams, and their burgers are sumptuous. At one bar end is a very large TV screen for guests to watch football matches and other interesting programs.

Here, the best and most delicious burgers are made along perfect bartending, properly cooked food, drinks, and shakes with barbecue.

13. Rankin County Chamber of Commerce

In order to increase enthusiasm for commerce in Rankin County, Brandon, Mississippi, this commerce chamber came into place. It features partnerships and standard associations with several companies.

This Amphitheater in Brandon, Mississippi, town is home for music lovers and enthusiasts to watch live music performances of their best and most promising artists. 

In time past, the live shows and concerts housed some popular bands like the Zac Brown Band, Widespread Panic, Little Big Town, Dierks Bentley, and also Lynyrd Skynyrd.
