The Most Vibey Ways to Celebrate Pride in Vancouver

For different reasons, this year, Pride has become more important than ever. New colors have been waving around in Vancouver and people all over the world are starting to use the “Progress Pride flag”, shifting focus and emphasis to what is important in our current community climate, staying in solidarity with those whose voices aren’t heard as loudly, and ensuring that everyone: Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Queer, Intersexual, Asexual, *2 Spirited, *BIPOC, + can be their true and full selves.  > We strive to produce events that reflect the pride the LGBTQIA2S+ community > has in itself, by strengthening the sense of community, and contributing to > the vibrancy, health and overall well-being of all persons in the community. > > Vancouver Pride Society For anyone who identifies with the LGBTQIA2S+ community, it is incredible to be in a place where the cultural, social and artistic scene thrives. Vancouver Pride is not just a celebration, it’s a whole festivity of diversity and a space where free spirited people feel right at home! Art venues, pop-up shows, parties, cruises, parades, cultural exchanges, and more events that make every summer unforgettable. Vancouver’s West End, especially along Davie Street, is famous for its rainbow colors atmosphere anytime of the year, but it is especially in late July and early August when most of the happenings take place. This year Vancouver Pride Society (VPS) will be hosting a hybrid season of events that includes small, in-person COVID-safe events and online virtual offerings from mid-June to August.  *2 Spirited: Refers to a person who identifies as having both a masculine and a feminine spirit, and is used by some Indigenous people to describe their sexual, gender and/or spiritual identity. *BIPOC: Is an acronym that stands for Black, Indigenous, and People Of Color. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CHOOSE YOUR PRIDE WITH VANCOUVER PRIDE SOCIETY EVENTS ENJOY QUEER TALENT AT VANCOUVER MURAL FESTIVAL´S POP-UP PATIO Vancouver Mural Festival’s Pop-Up Patio is a safe, distanced opportunity to enjoy a night of open-air entertainment in Mount Pleasant!
