Travel Bratislava Under $100 – Bratislava Travel Guide 2021

Bratislava is one of the most underrated cities in Europe. Though it is the capital of Slovakia, it has a small-town kind of vibe that will give you peace and comfort after roaming around the ever-hustling Europe. There is a unique calm that has enveloped the entire city and I am sure you will love it. This is why, today we are going to guide you through how you can Visit Bratislava under $100 budget, and I am sure that would be easy!

HOW TO TRAVEL BRATISLAVA UNDER $100?

Duration

This city needs two days, but being the underdog that it is, we suggest you spend at least a day here and that is what this guide is about. The best months to visit are May, June, July, August or September.

Accommodation

There is no lack of budget hostels and hotels in Bratislava and that too under $10. So, go to Booking.com, Agoda.com or Hostel World and pick the one that fits your requirements. As I always like to tell, if staying with the locals is something you are comfortable with, Couchsurfing is your answer.

Transportation in Bratislava

Bratislava is more of a village sort of city than a capital. Thus, you can easily walk around all the major sightseeing areas. However, you can take a bus or tram ride for as low as 0.25$. There is also a ridesharing app called Bolt, through which a single ride will cost you $3 only. But we suggest you stick to public transport.

Food & Drinks

Bratislava has a very vibrant Slovak cuisine and you won’t miss ordering your regular food. This is the reason we suggest you try local food which is rick in breaded chicken, pork, goulash, roast meats, and soups. There are going to be a lot of eating options for as low as $4, so you won’t be spending more than $15 on a days’ worth of food.

As for the nightlife, Bratislava might be a small city, but the locals are no less when it comes to the party. You can get drinks for cheap. Do visit underground music clubs as well for having a good party night out.

Sightseeing

Take a free walking tour of the city to cover most of the attractions. You will also come across a lot of street art and murals, which are the life and identity of the city. Do visit the Old Town for Town Center which has a lot of medieval alleyways and Renaissance-architecture. Go to Hviezdoslavovo Namestie for a beautiful roadside detox and a lot of other attractions around it, St. Martin’s Cathedral, Roland Fountain (at night), the world’s one of the ugliest buildings, Slovak Radio Building, Blue Church, St. Michael’s Gate, and Slavin War Memorial.

Blue Church

This little Blue Church is one of the famous landmarks of the city. The inside is pretty, quaint and as beautiful as it is from the outside. Thought the church was closed some time back, you can get a peek of its beauty from the outside. You should also visit the UFO Bridge (skip going to the top as it will cost you $8.34), Sad Janka Krala (the oldest park in Europe), and Apollo Bridge. Finally, do visit Bratislava Castle to top off a beautiful sight of the city and surrounding area.

This was all about Bratislava under $100, and most of the sights I have mentioned are free, so I am sure you will be going way under this budget. This city is definitely worth your time and money.
