Compare to other high-altitude treks like Everest Base Camp or Annapurna Circuit Trek; it is a lower altitude trek. 

Difficulty Level of Upper Mustang Trek

The difficulty level of the Upper Mustang Trek is considered moderate. However, the prior trekking experience is not required; an excellent level of fitness is essential. So, before embarking trek, you need to take part in physical activities like jogging, running, swimming, hiking, and cycling. Likewise, altitude sickness is common among the trekkers, especially above 3,000 meters.
