Resurrection for Gum trees and galaxies.

Life kind of got a bit hectic so the blog did get neglected but all that has changed now. Back on track. I did take a short retreat recently and that allowed me to re-set, focus on things that matter and reorganise my priorities and time. Taking on an extra day of work and some study really ate into my free time to the detriment of physical and mental health. Spending all day behind a computer screen is never good for anyone and while I am quite happy behind a screen falling down information rabbit holes, the reality is that being trapped indoors is not good for anyone, even me. So re-establishing the work-life balance and getting back to including relaxing reading and weekend camping trips in our routine. And resurrecting the Gaia/Nature reading challenge which I have let slide for 2024. Afraid I was feeling a bit of despair at the state of the environment in recent months, still am, but my willingness to fight for the environment and nature has returned with my determination to feed my soul with time in the natural world. In 2025 the reading challenge will be back and in the meantime, I will update some reading lists and try to continue blogging about nature reads.

Stay tuned, the next post will be about my amazing retreat and why we should all, when possible take time to retreat and examine our lives, what works, what doesn’t and why it is crucial to feed our souls in this sometimes soulless age and existence.
