We spent New Year’s in Tallinn with a couple of friends but this little stint did not warrant a blog post, especially since I didn’t take many photos. In January, it was time for another bigger trip – this time to Singapore.
Kicking off our vacation
We decided to kick off the vacation by spending two nights on Sentosa just relaxing. By the time we arrived at our accommodation at Outpost Hotel, it was around 6 pm and after a quick shower and some unpacking, we headed out for dinner. As many places stopped serving food early, we decided to stay at the resort and just have a quick dinner. We ended up at Native Kitchen in the Village Hotel. I had a Caesar salad and hubby had fried rice. The food was okay and served its purpose. After dinner, we explored the grounds for a bit until we headed to bed.
Exploring our surroundings and relaxing by the pool
Nature trail and Japanese food
Once we got bored off the Pool we freshened up and headed out to explore a bit of the island. We walked to the cable car station and grabbed a coffee before heading out to explore Sentosa Nature Discovery and the Imbiah Nature Trail. We also found an area called Fort Imbiah and the Imbiah Battery. Eventually, we made our way back to the hotel and enjoyed a late lunch at Le Faubourg. After lunch, we relaxed in our room and eventually got ready for dinner. Before dinner, we headed back up to the rooftop for a pre-dinner cocktail. For dinner, I had made a reservation at MIYOSHI by Fat Cow. We started with some deep-fried edamame. I then had carpaccio of Hokkaido scallops and Hokkaido scallops with umami soymilk sauce. Hubby had spicy Wagyu miso ramen. The food was delicious.
French breakfast and off to Singapore
The next morning, we took a quick dip in the rooftop pool before brunch at Le Faubourg. The Rive Gauche brunch for two consisted to baguettes, butter & jam, pastries, eggs en cocotte, avocado toast, homemade granola & yogurt, fruit salad, OJ, and a choice of hot beverage. We also decided to have a glass of champagne with our brunch. After a perfect brunch, it was time to gather our things and grab a cab to go to Singapore city for the rest of our vacation.
Stay tuned for more posts from Singapore.
