Final days in Tallinn

After visiting the Põhjala Factory area it was time to head back to our apartment for some work. We walked part of the way and had time to try out some Ice Cream at La Muu in Telliskivi before having to work. The ice cream was delicious and worth queuing for.

Local beer and smokehouse

After work was finished, we walked to Põhjala Tap Room to try some of their beers. We tasted a few beers and had some nuts. The beers were worth the walk. Then it was time to head to dinner. I had booked a table at One Sixty Smokehouse in Telliskivi. We shared some jalapeno poppers. Then I had a refried bean and a haddock taco and hubby tested the brisket. The food was nice enough but nothing too special.

Afternoon cocktails with a view

The next morning, we opted to have breakfast at a café before doing some work. We walked to a place nearby called T35. I had avocado toast with scrambled eggs and hubby had the American breakfast. Both were yummy and with our nourished brains and tummies it was time for work. After working, we went into town for a spot of shopping. In the afternoon we again headed to Telliskivi, this time to check out the roof terrace bar at Fotografiska. We enjoyed a cocktail and the views. On the way to the bar I asked if the nearby F-Hoone still had room for us for dinner that evening and made a reservation. The afternoon had some more work in store for us.

Last drinks at local gin distillery

With work finished and after a spot of relaxing at our digs we headed to dinner. I had the Caesar salad with shrimp and hubby had pelmeni. The food was delicious and the atmosphere at F-Hoone was nice. Once dinner was over, we still wanted to visit the local gin bar, Juniperium. They offer an excellent selection of Juniperium’s own gins and I was very happy with my rhubarb G&T. Then it was high time to head to the apartment and hit the hay.

The next morning we tackled a few work tasks, had breakfast, packed up, and headed to the harbor. The ferry trip home was uneventful. Tallinn was fun as always and even though it was a working vacation it was relaxing. Stay tuned for posts about our trip to Malta.

Time to leave Tallinn behind
Bye bye Tallinn…
…we’ll be back
