I try to pre-book all tickets to attractions and similar if possible. I feel there are several benefits to this course of action.

One benefit is that if participation is limited you can secure your spot in Advance. This way you know for sure you’ll get to do what you wanted. Often tickets are also cheaper when bought in advance or online so you can save some money. In many cases buying tickets in advance will save you from some queuing as you don’t have to stand in line to get the tickets.

I also think buying tickets in advance makes for easier trip planning as it gives you some fixed points in your program. Another advantage is not to have to budget for the tickets during the actual trip. You can even do some “financial planning” if you buy the tickets well ahead of time. Paying with a credit card you can get them on an earlier bill than the costs that accrue during the trip.
