North Cyprus Covid-19

You may already be aware that North Cyprus is currently seeing a rise in cases of Covid-19 and that the government, as of the night of 4th February, have decided to put in place restrictions across the country, to safeguard against a wider spread of the virus.  At the time of writing a full lockdown and curfew is in place until at least 15th February, with people being asked to stay at home and seek permission to travel outside of a very few essential shops that are being allowed to remain open.

Whilst that is of course a concerning situation, at Thalassa we have protocols and processes in place to limit any impact on the running and maintenance of the resort. For such situations, we are always prepared and can act quickly on what is proving to be a very changeable situation for everyone.

Some of our key members of staff, including Resort Manager, Nicole, as well our Head of IT, are always on site, however extra members of the team have moved onto the resort for the duration of the restrictions.

This will enable us to deal with any on site emergencies and keep our facilities maintained and monitored.  All our staff on site have been required to take a PCR test which we are pleased to say are all negative.

Our onsite residents can rest assured that we are on hand should they need, taking all necessary health and safety regulations into consideration.

We wish you all good health and to stay safe in these worrying times.
