The Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew From Starbucks You Have to Make

I’ve been seeing a new craze all over TikTok and that’s Starbuck’s Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew as the new favorite fall drink!  Though the version I’ve been seeing is Pumpkin Cream over chai instead of cold brew. 

This cold drink is the perfect drink right now!  It’s great for that in-between weather when it’s not quite cold enough for a #PSL, but you still want that fall feel.

And let me tell you this drink has all the fall feels!

I love pumpkin spice lattes, but it has been so hot here lately that I haven’t been craving hot drinks yet.

My husband was super skeptical about another TikTok craze, but he loved my pumpkin cream chai!  Probably because the recipe didn’t come from TikTok like dalgona coffee and cloud bread.  

He did love the olive oil cake from TikTok though.

Pumpkin cream is really easy to make and pairs so well with chai.  Starbucks chai latte uses many of the same spices found in pumpkin cream.  

So if you are craving a PSL, but it’s just still too hot outside give this Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew or Chai a try!

Starbucks Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew or Chai Recipe

Equipment

To make the pumpkin cream you will need a milk frother.  You can use a handheld one – CHECK PRICES or the kind with a base – CHECK PRICES.  

A hand whisk or electric hand mixer would probably work as well.

I’ve used the handheld one for years as well as the milk steamer with the base to make cappuccinos and both work super well. 

Ingredients

Cold Brew Coffee

You can easily make cold brew by soaking some ground coffee in water in the fridge for at least 24 hours.  Or you can buy it at the grocery store.

Chai Tea

Any black tea will work for pumpkin cream chai latte.  You can buy chai tea bags at any grocery store.  Or you can make your own chai tea by adding pumpkin spices to your black tea when you brew it.

Because pumpkin cream chai latte has ice, you need to make your tea twice as strong as you normally would so the ice doesn’t dilute it.

Heavy Whipping Cream 

The heavy whipping cream is what makes pumpkin cream different from regular cappuccino foam.  But you don’t want to make whipped cream here!  The extra fat really gives this coffee drink a rich flavor.

Milk

Because you don’t actually want to make whip cream for the pumpkin cream, you need to add a splash of milk to thin it out.

Pumpkin Spice Creamer

Starbucks actually makes pumpkin spice flavored coffee creamer that they sell at the grocery store.  The Starbuck’s Pumpkin Spice creamer perfects the pumpkin cream!

Pumpkin Pie Spice

We are making pumpkin cream after all so what’s better than adding some pumpkin pie spices.  You can easily buy this at any grocery store in the baking aisle.  

How to make Pumpkin Cream

Pour your cream, milk, pumpkin spice creamer, and pumpkin pie spices into the milk frother, or a cup if using the handheld milk foamer.

Froth until it becomes foam.

In a glass add ice, your cold brew or chai, and top with the pumpkin cream!  So easy right!  I hope you’ll save your $8 and make this at home.

The Starbucks Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew Recipe

  • 1/3 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream
  • Splash Milk
  • Splash Pumpkin Spice Latte Flavored Coffee Creamer
  • Pinch Pumpkin Pie Spice
  • 6-8 Ounces Cold Brew Coffee or Chai
  1. Combine cold heavy cream, milk, pumpkin spice latte creamer, pumpkin spice in a milk frother

  2. Froth until thickened and foamy

  3. Put ice and cold-brewed coffee or brewed chai in a glass

  4. Top with pumpkin cream
