Weather of Podstrana

The holiday resort has a pleasant Mediterranean climate. Summers are generally hot whereas winters are mild and wet. The average temperature in July is 25.4 °C, whereas in January 7.4 °C. The best period to visit Podstrana is between May and September. The sea temperature in August can even reach 25 °C.

Marina Ramova

The Marina Ramova is located in Krvavica, a town that administratively belongs to Baška Voda. It has 195 berths for boats up to 16 metres in length. The depth of the seabed is 3 metres. The port offers many excellent services. The restaurant can accommodate up to 150 guests at once.

Makarska Harbour

The port’s 225 metres long breakwater was completed in 2015. It provides protection from winds and waves coming from the south and southwest. The maximum depth of the seabed is 4.8 metres. The excellent services offered in the port include refuelling.

Marina Tučepi

The marina is right next to Slatina Beach. It has 200 berths, 50 of which are reserved for visitors and 150 for local boats. Marina Tučepi can accommodate boats up to 20 metres in length.

Marina Podgora

The marina, southeast of Makarska, is open all year round. It can accommodate 220 boats up to 20 metres in length. The maximum depth of the seabed is 3 metres. There are drinking water, electricity and a crane.

Day 1. Podstrana – Omiš

15,02 km (9,33 mi)

First, we sail to Omiš, a part of whose lies in the canyon of the Cetina river, one of the most fabulous Croatian towns. It is proud of its pleasant old town and sandy beaches offering numerous opportunities for excursions. Furthermore, it has a rich culture, i.e. the famous Festival of Dalmatian Choirs is held here annually. Another popular event is the Omiš Summer Festival with exciting concerts. In addition, the town’s best restaurant called Bastion can be found by the main road. Its specialities are the fish dishes, seafood although delicious pizza and meat dishes are also served.

Day 2. Omiš – Baška Voda

Our next destination is Baška Voda. The town’s most famous beach is Nikolina, which has a Blue Flag certification. The main attractions are the Church of St. Nicholas and the Church of St. Lawrence. For a culinary experience, choose the Konoba Panorama restaurant at the foot of Mount Biokovo, or the King restaurant downtown.

Day 3. Baška Voda – Povlja (Brač-island)

We recommend discovering this tiny village for families who like a peaceful holiday. The most famous attraction of Povlja is the remains of the early Christian basilica next to the Church of St. John. The beautiful bays in the area are perfect for swimming.

Day 4. Povlja (Brač-island) – Supetar (Brač-island)

24,33 km (15,12 mi)

Supetar, the most visited capital city of Brač, lies on the North of the Brač island. Its name derives from the Saint Peter Basilica situated on a hill. As a matter of fact, he is the town’s patron saint. Regarding its beaches, Vela Luka is the most beloved by families with small children thanks to its crystal-clear water. During your stay in Supetar, the 18th-century old Our Lady of the Annunciation Church and the 6th-century old Roman mosaics are a must.

Day 5. Supetar (Brač-island) – Rogač (Šolta- island)

Those who prefer the calm vacations close to the nature the island of Šolta is the most recommended. Its settlements lie on the northern part of the island whereas its southern side is steep and hilly. Its main marina is in Rogač. The most famous site of the village, the Church of Saint Theresa of Avila, was erected in the 19th century. If you are seeking for cosy beaches, visit the bays of Banja, Kašjun and Žustova beaches.

Day 6. Rogač (Šolta-island) – Split (ACI Marina)

Our next destination is Split which is one of the busiest and most Mediterranean Croatian city. The 178-metre Marjan hill can be found on North-West; as a matter of fact, there is a magnificent panorama from its lookout tower. Furthermore, one of the most significant sights of Dalmatia is the Roman UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Diocletian’s Palace made from white marble. There are also several beautiful buildings on the main square of Split. Regarding entertainment, you can find plenty of discos and clubs, from which the most famous one is the O’Hara.

Day 7. Split (ACI Marina) – Stobreč – Podstrana

10,26 km (6,38 mi)

The small town lies on the East from Split on the peninsula. For mountaineers, the Perun Hill or the Moson Mountain are recommended. The ruins of the huge early-Christian basilica named after Saint Lawrence, the town’s patron saint, was erected at the centre of Stobreč. If you are searching for a great restaurant, choose Kaša Grill & Bar, Konoba Nikola, or Orbis.

After handing over your yacht you can take a stroll in Podstrana. One of the most famous sites of the town is the new parish church of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. For hiking, definitely look for a trail on the Perun Hill. Or you are rather keen on culinary experience? Then book a table at Jure or Arkada restaurants.
