This hotel is famous among locals allowing you to immerse in Jamaican culture without sacrificing the comfort of traveling. Unlike other all-inclusive hotels in Jamaica, Holiday Inn Resort is focused on local tourists offering an authentic Jamaican experience.

Holiday Inn Resort is perfect for families, couples, and solo travelers. The shallow hotel’s swimming pool and the beach are in particular ideal for kids. Moreover, if one of your children is under 11 years old your kid can stay at Holiday Inn Resort for free and enjoy all hotel’s benefits.

Located less than 10 minute’s drive from Sangster International Airport, Holiday Inn Resort offers a tropical atmosphere in a tranquil location. Over 400 meters of hotel coastline with charming coves, a private island, and beach bars ensure a wonderful holiday in Jamaica.

Adults Zone at Holiday Inn Jamaica

On the west side of the hotel grounds, you will find an adult zone with Big Smaddy Bar, an adult pool, and a beach. Opposite the adult pool, there is the bridge where you can relax and watch beautiful sunsets. With a bit of luck, you may also see puffer fish in the crystal clear waters of Jamaica.

Jerk Hut Bar at Holiday Inn Jamaica

A few steps from the adult zone, you can try the best Jamaican Jerk Chicken. The Jerk Hut Bar serves spicy food and the famous Jamaican beer – Red Stripe. Holiday Inn Resort is a 3* hotel offering delicious meals of the Caribbean cuisine.

Watersports at Holiday Inn Jamaica

Hotel guests can try various watersports for an additional charge. However, all non-motorized water sports are free including kayaking. It is a great area to explore for bird lovers as you can spot Brown Pelican, Royal Tern, Little Blue Heron, and many more interesting species.

Beach at Holiday Inn Jamaica

Near the watersports area, you will also find a towel hut where you can get the beach towel. There are many areas by the coast where you will find some secluded spots. Staying at Holiday Inn Resort doesn’t feel too crowded, despite it being an all-inclusive resort in famous part of the island.

Kidspree Club & Nursery

Opposite the watersports beach, there is a playground for kids and Kidspree Club & Nursery. If you won’t feel very well during your stay, there is also a nurse station at the hotel’s grounds. However, hopefully, you won’t need a visit to the nurse and you’ll relax at the spa instead.

Barefoot Bar & Grill

Barefoot Bar & Grill at Holiday Inn Resort serves famous Jamaican cocktails such as Rum Punch or Jamaican Delight. You can also order Pina Colada or Banana Daiquiri made with freshly blended bananas. As the name suggests, it is a bar that you can go to straight from the beach without your flip-flops.

Barefoot Bar & Grill is open for many hours so if you get hungry, you can order hamburgers that are served with fries. However, if you want to have a proper meal, visit the main restaurant opposite the swimming pool. It is a buffet style restaurant that serves a full breakfast in the early morning and continental breakfast later. Not all all-inclusive hotels offer breakfast at two different times, so this is very convenient if you don’t want to get out of bed early during the holidays.

A La Carte Restaurants

If you would like to try something different there is Italian, Jamaican, and seafood a La Carte restaurant included in the all-inclusive package. For an additional charge, you can also try Japanese Teppanyaki cuisine. There is a dress code and reservations required for a La Carte restaurant.

Holiday Inn Resort was the first all-inclusive hotel where we didn’t book a La Carte restaurant. We are usually getting bored of the same food served in the buffet restaurant, but this time it was very tasty so we didn’t feel like going to a La Carte Restaurant.

However, if you’re looking for a perfect spot to enjoy a romantic dinner with a beautiful view, look no further than the Sea Breeze restaurant at Holiday Inn Resort. The sound of waves crashing against the shore is the perfect background music for a relaxing meal, and the setting sun casts a beautiful glow over the whole scene. Whether you’re enjoying a glass of wine with your partner or a delicious seafood meal, you’re sure to have a memorable evening at the restaurant by the beach.  

Gym at Holiday Inn Jamaica

There’s nothing quite like starting your day with a morning workout while overlooking the beautiful sea from the hotel gym. With the sun shining and the waves crashing, it’s the perfect way to get your heart rate up and start your day on a healthy note.

Tennis Court and Mini Golf

The hotel tennis court and mini golf are other great amenities for guests to enjoy. What better motivation to keep up with your fitness goals while on vacation than having a gorgeous view to enjoy while you sweat it out?

Free Laundry Services

As frequent travelers, we also appreciate hotels that offer free laundry services and one of them is Holiday Inn Resort. We never have to worry about packing enough clothes for our trip, or dealing with dirty laundry when we get back home. Most hotels offer laundry services for their guests, however, it is usually for an additional fee. Unlike the Holiday Inn Resort, where you do your laundry without any extra costs.

LOVEHOLIDAYS

If you need washing powder while staying at Holiday Inn Resort, you can buy it from the hotel shop. A clothes dryer is also a lifesaver for guests who need to quickly dry their clothes. Laundry facilities can be found in Building 5 and near Building 1.

On the hotel grounds there are 510 guest rooms spread over 7 buildings. Rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable. We had a wonderful vacation at the Holiday Inn Resort and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing place to stay at a decent price. Fauna of Jamaica at Holiday Inn

Brown pelicans are an interesting sightseeing addition to any trip to Jamaica. These beautiful creatures can be found along the coast of the Caribbean. One of the best places to spot them is among others Holiday Inn Resort in Montego Bay. The Brown Pelican is an excellent swimmer and can often be seen diving into the water to catch fish near Holiday Inn Resort’s small island.

Bown Pelican is often seen near the shoreline, where they feed on fish, so there is no doubt that the waters by Holiday Inn Resort are abundant in fish. The sergeant major fish is a beautiful and brightly-colored fish that is found in the waters around Holiday Inn Resort. These fish are known for their striking black and yellow stripes, so if you want to take amazing underwater photos, look no further than Holiday Inn Resort. You may also see other colorful fishes such as French Grunts, Squirrelfish, or Yellowfin Surgeonfish.

Free Shuttle Bus from Holiday Inn Jamaica

In the main hotel’s building, you will find reception, shops, and tour desks. You can book excursions directly from the hotel or get a taxi to wherever you want. There is also a free shuttle bus from Holiday Inn Resort to Margaritaville in Montego Bay a few times a day. If you like to party, you can take the bus at night and get back to Holiday Inn Resort for free.

Another place that you can explore for free from Holiday Inn Resort is Main Street Rose Hall. A free shuttle bus will take you to a beautiful shopping area filled with colorful buildings and street art. You may try there some of the best ice creams in the world – ranked 4th, according to National Geographic. Tasting Ice creams at Devon House or Jerk Chicken at Schotchies are only a few options for spending an amazing day at Main Street Rose Hall.

Moreover, a friendly bus driver will tell you a story about the haunted Rose Hall Great House while driving to this hidden shopping paradise. If you are not afraid of White Witch Annie Palmer, an evening tour of Rose Hall Great House is a must when staying at Holiday Inn Resort. The brave can also try the famous witch drink “Witch’s Brew” in the bar, which is located in the basement of Rose Hall Great House.

Shops nearby Holiday Inn Jamaica

You will also find some shops opposite the hotel. If you are looking for a true Jamaican experience, visit some of the local shops. There are friendly ladies that appreciate every visitor. As we were their first customers, they gave us Jamaican gifts such as bracelets and charms. However, the most satisfying were their words after the purchase: “You made my day”. So, whenever you decide to go, make sure to support locals, especially Jamaican who are very friendly and welcoming. Jamaica’s tourist areas are safe to visit, so it’s worth considering this country to spend your vacation in an exotic place.
