The State of Ceará in Brazil, is located in the Northeast Region, Fortaleza is its capital. Here is summer the whole year being 24ºC its average temperature.
For me, it is not worth to stop in Fortaleza because the city is ugly and the beaches are nothing special.
Brazil is one of the few places in the world where you can walk on beautiful and deserted beaches. See here the best (and the most beautiful) places to visit in this windy state:
South of Fortaleza:
Porto Das Dunas-Aquiraz
Porto das Dunas, just 30km from Fortaleza is known for Beach Park, the largest water park in Latin America, so all the infrastructures have been designed around it. The beach is quite extensive and windy but in some places it is just for you, which makes it very pleasant. Porto das Dunas is a great place to spend the first night, I recommend the Brisa do Mar Hotel, the employees are very friendly and the facilities are splendid.

Morro Branco-Beberibe
At a distance of 80km from Fortaleza you will find the Grand Canyon of Ceará, Morro Branco. The views are stunning, from the beach and the cliffs. By the entrance, there is a handicraft fair that you can not miss.
Note: If you do not want to have NOBODY in your photos, or walk with a lot of people on the cliffs, go at around 8 o'clock.😄 Starting at 10 o'clock, the buggy excursions begin to arrive and there are lots of people.

The fountain beach, with its little boats at sunset, has no one and this one deserves a photo!
On the way back, pass by Beberibe market to try new flavours!
Cumbuco has restaurants and bars quite busy at night (unlike the other places I've already mentioned) and a good beach. At A.C.L you can eat a delicious grilled fish. There are two lagoons on the outskirts of Cumbuco:
-Água Cristalina Lagoon: It is very small and has a lot of people;
-Banana Lagoon: It's big and nice.
A few kilometers from Lagoinha there is the Reserva Pedrinhas in Almécegas Lagoon, with food at low prices, comfort and pleasant.
Flecheiras is not very well known, being a quiet but equally beautiful place. When it is low tide, the beach forms natural pools with an incredible color. If you want to stay there, I recommend 100% the Casa dos Patos!
Note: Do not forget to bring shoes to walk on the rocks!
Mundaú is only 10 km from Flecheiras, with the road along the coast. There are not many hotels or restaurants in this village, so I advise you to just visit it one day. Every afternoon around 4 pm a boat departs for a trip on the Mundaú River, making stops to watch crabs and watch the sunset from a dune. To buy tickets (which cost: adults-30 reais and under 10 years-15 reais), head to the ice cream shop at the foot of the pier. To get to Barra de Mundaú, much of the way is made by the sand of the beach.
If you are coming from/going to Jericoacoara, take a short walk to Paracuru and explore the dunes and beaches.
On the way back, pass by Beberibe market to try new flavours!
