- Sausages (any kind expect cocktail)
- Puff pastry
- 1 egg
- Cut the puff pastry into long thin strips.
- Wrap each sausage with a strip of puff pastry , resembling banadages.
- Brush the egg mixture over the puff pastry.
- Bake in the oven at 200C for 20-25 minutes.
- Add on some edible eyes.
- Serve with a dip of your choice.
You should be able to purchase edible eyes made of icing in large supermarkets, or you can purchase them for £2.50 on Amazon.
Pumpkin soup Halloween recipe
It is the season for all things pumpkin, and pumpkin soup is a great seasonal treat to serve around Halloween time.
- 2 teaspoons of olive oil
- 1 onion finely chopped.
- 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped.
- 1 large pumpkin
- 700ml vegetable stock or chicken stock
- 150ml double cream
- 1 teaspoon of dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon of nutmeg
- Peel and deseed the pumpkin.
- Chop the pumpkin into 1-inch cubes.
- Heat the oil and onion in a pan, on medium heat.
- Add in the pumpkin, thyme, garlic and nutmeg, let it cook for around 10 minutes.
- Add in the stock, and bring to a boil.
- Simmer the soup for a further 15 minutes.
- Add in the double cream.
- Blend the soup with a hand blender until the consistency is smooth and soup-like.
For an extra creative flare, you could also try to design a spider web over the soup with the rest of the double cream. Pour the double cream into a small jug, and use it to draw three circles inside one another. Then use a cocktail stick to connect the circles, forming a spiders-web.

Stuffed Halloween peppers Halloween recipe
Another spooky savoury food that you can make this Halloween is these stuffed peppers. They look like scary food zombies, stuffed with frightening innards.
- Bell peppers
- Spaghetti pasta
- Tomato pasta sauce
- Herbs and seasoning of your choice
- Cut the top of your bell pepper and remove the seeds and insides.

- Boil the spaghetti in salt water.
- Cook the spaghetti and with the tomato sauce and add seasoning.
- Fill your peppers with the spaghetti pasta.
- Cook in the oven at 180C for 10 minutes.
The spaghetti works great for this recipe as it resembles spilling guts, but you could fill these peppers with any stuffing of your choice, i.e.) chilli, rice, vegetables, cheese or curry. Stuff these zombie peppers with whatever filling you think your guests will enjoy most.

This savoury Halloween display is so gross and perfect for horrifying your guests whilst serving them chips and dip.
- 1 pumpkin
- Guacamole dip
- Nachos or crackers
- Cut the top of your pumpkin off and scoop out all of the seeds and innards.
- Cut out eyes and a wide smile (big enough to pour your dip through).
- Fill the pumpkin with the dip and pour some through its mouth.
- Position the pumpkin so it looks like it is vomiting up the dip.
- Lay out your nachos or crackers on a serving plate and place some more dip in the middle.

- 4 tbsp water
- 40g cocoa powder
- 3 large eggs
- 175g unsalted softened, butter
- 165g golden caster sugar
- 115g self-raising flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
Ingredients for icing:
- 360g powdered sugar
- 45g butter, softened
- 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons milk
- Orange, black and green food colouring.
- Cupcake toppings.
Method for cupcakes:
- Sift the cocoa powder into a bowl.
- Pour in the water and mix into a thick paste.
- Add in the eggs, butter, sugar, flour and baking powder.
- Mix the ingredients with an electric whisk or beat with a wooden spoon.
- Divide the mixture into 12 paper cases.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 12-15 minutes.
- Let cupcakes cool for an hour before icing them.
Method for icing:
- Mix the powdered sugar, butter and 1 tablespoon of milk into a bowl, with an electric whisk.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Add in the other tablespoon of milk, if the mixture is too thick.
- Separate the icing into 4 parts.
- Add one drop of each food colouring into each part, except for the original part which you are keeping white.
- Use an icing bag to pipe the icing onto the cupcakes.
- Top the cupcakes with your toppings.

Another fun tasty treat you can prepare for this Halloween, is these spider cookies. These are sure to creep out your guests, but that won’t stop them from eating them.
Ingredients for cookies:
- 225g butter, softened
- 110g caster sugar
- 275g plain flour
- 1 tsp cinnamon or nutmeg
Ingredients for spider topping:
- Melted chocolate
- Chocolate body e.g) Lindts, Reeses Pieces, chocolate buttons etc.
Method for cookies:
- Whisk the butter with a spoon or stand mixer.
- Add the sugar and keep beating until the mixture is light and fluffy.
- Sift in the flour
- Add in the cinnamon or nutmeg.
- Roll the dough into balls and place them apart on a baking sheet.
- Press the balls down gently with the palm of your hand.
- Bake the cookies in a preheated oven at 190C for 10-12 mins.
- Let the cookies completely cool before topping them.
Method for spider topping:
- Melted the chocolate in a bowl over a pan of boiling water.
- Fill the melted chocolate into an icing bag.
- Place the chocolate body, which may be a reese’s piece, in the centre of the cookie and secure it down with melted chocolate.
- Draw eight legs from the chocolate body with the melted chocolate.
- Cool the cookies for 30 minutes in the fridge to set.

These Frankenstein marshmallows are a really simple and easy Halloween sweet treat you can make at home. They don’t require much time or cooking expertise, just a steady hand for detail.
- Green food colouring
- Black food colouring
- White chocolate
- Wooden skewers.
- Melt the white chocolate in a bowl over a pan of boiling water.
- Separate the melted chocolate into 2 parts.
- Add green food colouring to one part of the melted chocolate and black food colouring to other, mix well.
- Place your marshmallows on the top of the wooden skewers.
- Dip the marshmallows into the green chocolate mixture and let set.

Method for oranges:
- Cut the celery into tiny strips.
- Peel the oranges
- Place the celery at the top like the top of a pumpkin.
Method for boonanas:
- Melt the chocolate in a bowl over a pan of boiling water.
- Pipe the chocolate into an icing bag.
- Peel the bananas and cut them in half.
- Draw eyes on the bananas with the melted chocolate.
