Peter’s Church

Zurich Opera House

Farumunster

Farumunster is a church which means Woman’s church that refers to the abbey that was built there in 853 for the aristocratic woman of Europe. The church is a three-aisled basilica with a Gothic nave built from the 13th to the 15th centuries and also there is a Romanesque chancel.

In the chancel, you will find the beautiful set of five stained-glass windows designed by Marc Chagall in 1970. In the north transept, you will find another lovely stained-glass window designed by Augusto Giacometti. The abbey was ruined in 1898, but the Romanesque and Gothic cloister survives.

Uetliberg

Uetiberg is the best place where you can have a fascinating view of Zurich, the lake, the river, and the Alps Mountains, it is located southwest of Zurich and from 1875 it was able to reach the top by train.

When you reach the top you will find a walkway that is lit at night, there is also a glass-enclosed restaurant that gives you a lovely view of the city at night, and at daylight, you can see from a lookout tower across the Valais, Bernese and Glarus Alps.
