My decision to go Bir Billing in Himachal Pradesh was very Abrupt, i didn’t even booked anything before travelling, all planning i did was during my night bus from Delhi.

I browsed through the Bir Himachal Pradesh hotels and bir himachal weather ( it’s better to check then to be sorry)

So, after hearing and reading a lot. I came into the Conclusion that Bir Himachal is known for Paragliding and monasteries.

WHERE I STAYED

After carefully looking at the Hostels/Hotels in Bir Himachal Pradesh, i came across – COLONEL’S RESORT. I read the reviews, Visited their Website and browsed some pictures

I said to myself this is it, this is the place i am going to stay. I Called the number for the reservation, and a sweet voice picked up and said you are most welcome. ( Colonel Himself )

Colonel Resort is situated on the Outskirt of Bir, Surrounded by a beautiful hike ( only colonel know about this).

But the Most important thing the hospitality they provide, It made me feel at home at an instant.

Rooms

To Begin with they have 11 luxury Rooms and 1 luxury double rooms, 2 standard double rooms and 2 standard single rooms. They also offer the option of spacious deluxe tents.
Aesthetic and well designed luxury rooms for families, small groups and solo travellers; looking for quiet escapes or Himalayan adventures

Most meals are prepared with vegetables picked fresh from our kitchen garden. Food is homely, and dare I say, the best in Bir .

Colonel’s Resort was the best Decision i made in my life . Let’s talk about the Location – 10 min from town, Direct bus runs to Bir from Delhi. The property has its own Tea Garden and a fully functional organic garden. The cooks are local and make the best food, Rooms are spacious and nestled in the heart of greenery. Accept Cash and Cards. There is a Special Hike trail filled with Local of Bir. They also organize Paragliding. Cleaning is at par. The Hospitality and the friendliness of Colonels is one another level and that’s what i loved the most.
