Bollywood produces all kinds of genres which is great thing. From action, romance to even random time-pass no brainers, there is something for all of us . However, we are especially excited for the period dramas that are currently being made. After ‘Rangroot’, these are the four period drama’s we are waiting for:

1. Panipat

Ashutosh Gowarikar is going to wear the director’s hat for this one with Arjun Kapoor in the lead. The Movie will show the whole story of the battle of ‘Panipat’. The movie will also star Sanjay Dutt and Kriti Sanon. It will be interesting to watch Arjun in a very different role.

2. Kalank

the movie has a wonderful ensemble cast with big names like Madhuri Dixit, Varun Dhawan, Aditya Roy Kapur , Sonakshi Sinha, Alia Bhatt and Sanjay Dutt coming together for this bi project. The movie is jointly going to be produced by Dharma Productions, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and Fox Star Studios. Not much is known about the script but this piece of information has definitely intrigued us.

3. Kesari

This is going to be a treat for all Akshay Kumar fans. The movie deals with the battle of Saragarhi of 1897 and will capture the how the Sikh soldiers fought against Pashtun Orakzai. Akshay will essay the role of Commander Havildar Ishar Singh and the movie will also star Parineeti Chopra.

4. Shamshera

Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘ Shamshera’ was recently announced recently by Yash Raj Films. The first digital look has surely piqued our interest and will be a definite visual delight. After 9 long years, Ranbir has collaborated again with YRF and we are sure that this will be a treat for all the fans. As per rumours, Ranbir will play the role of a dacoit and the movie will also see Sanjay Dutt in a pivotal role, most probably the villain. Ranbir is anyway waiting for the release of ‘Sanju’ which has impressed us with the trailer itself.
