Protect Yourselves From The Fire Of Hell

Hell-the dreadful abode:

Being a Muslim, belief in the Day of Judgment is an integral part of faith. This world is a temporary place in which people will be judged upon their deeds. On the day of Resurrection, they would be presented with their deeds and would be questioned upon them. Those who spent their lives according to Allah’s teachings shall be blessed with eternal blissful life in Heaven. But those who went astray and wasted their life in ignorance shall be thrown in the ghastly fire of Hell.

How to protect yourselves from the fire of Hell:

Hell is one of the most often reminded things in Islam. Allah reminds us again and again at many places in the Holy Quran about the wrath of Hell so that we engage in good deeds, abstain from bad deeds and be saved from the fire of Hell. So how to protect yourselves from the fire of Hell? Here are some of the ways that make a believer protected from the fire of Hell.

  • Tauheed-the first pillar of Islam:

First and foremost, belief in the Oneness of Allah is extremely important when you embrace Islam. You cannot be called a Muslim if you hold someone equal with Allah. Those who hold someone equal with Allah shall be thrown in the fire of Hell.

Another very important part of the first pillar of Islam is the belief in the finality of Prophethood. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) has been sent to Earth as Allah’s last prophet and messenger. Anybody who claims to be a prophet and those who believe him cannot be saved from Hell.

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: –

“Whoever witnesses that there is no god but Allah and Muhammad is His Messenger, Allah forbids the Fire from touching him.”

  • Offering prayers five times a day:

Salat is the second pillar of Islam. Muslims are ordered to perform five obligatory prayers during the whole day. There is no way you can excuse me from offering prayers. Even if you are unwell you can offer by sitting. If you cannot sit, you can offer by lying on the bed. But there is no way you can skip prayers. Those who do not miss their prayers shall be saved from the flames of Hell. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: –

“The Fire will consume all of the son of Adam except the mark of prostration. Allah has forbidden the Fire to consume the mark of prostration.”

  • Charity and almsgiving:

Allah loves those who engage in charity and almsgiving. Not only does Allah reward such people in this world, but there is also a great reward for them in the Hereafter. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is reported to have said: –

“Protect yourselves from the Fire, even with half a date.”

  • Supplication:

Allah loves those who supplicate to Him. He loves it when a believer gets teary-eyed remembering and praying to Allah. When a person weeps out of fear of fire of Hell, Allah forgives his sins. Similarly, when a believer prays to Allah seeking refuge from Hell, Allah listens to his prayer and saves him from the rage of Hell. So supplicate to Allah to protect yourself from the torment of Hell.

  • Helping others and being merciful towards Allah’s creations:

Allah is all-Forgiving and Merciful towards those of his men who are merciful towards his creations. Even the smallest acts of mercy and kindness raise a person’s stature in the eyes of Allah. So be kind, helpful and affectionate towards Allah’s creations in order to attain his mercy and gratitude.

To sum up, your good deeds and acts of kindness towards others shall help protect you from the fire of Hell.
