Top Three Requested Destinations for 2022 | April Powers

Italy

It’s no secret that Italy has some of the best food globally. Culinary experiences have always been a big request in Italy, but they are one of the main focuses for travelers this year. Topping the list are private tours of off-the-beaten-path restaurants and markets. Following close behind are private cooking classes in a local’s home.

Hawaii

Hawaii has beautiful beaches and unique sights. However, this year travelers want to mix traditional activities with authentic experiences. Luaus outside of the hotels, walking food tours, and farm tours are the most requested experiences. On most islands, you’ll want a rental car that makes dining in local mom-and-pop restaurants easy as well as driving to see lavendar fields, visiting small towns, and discovering walking paths to waterfalls.

Greece

Multi-destination trips that offer a combination of historic sites and Island life are in demand. For example, Athens has the Acropolis, Panathenaic Stadium, Olympian Zeus’s Temple, and Poseidon’s Temple. After a few days of visiting these historic sites, a visit to the island of Santorini with a private food and wine tour, and a catamaran ride with snorkeling and volcano visit, is almost as requested as the opportunity to see the most beautiful sunset in the world.
