Everything To Know Before You Go

Say hello to one of my favorite things to do in El Nido (apart from those island hopping tours, of course)!

Being on a boat all day going from island to island can be exhausting, so spending a day at one of the best beaches in Asia is a sure-fire way to unwind and get some well-deserved R&R.

Nacpan Beach is one half of twin beach, with the other half called Calitang Beach, both just as beautiful as each other.

A trip to El Nido Palawan would not be complete without a day at Nacpan Beach, so keep on reading to find out all the key & crucial information on how to get there and where to stay in El Nido!

For a more detailed guide on everything you need to know and what to do in El Nido Palawan, click here.

Where is Nacpan Beach?

Nacpan Beach is located in El Nido Palawan in the most STUNNING country of the Philippines.

There is truly nowhere like it.

Nacpan Beach is about 30-minutes North from El Nido Town (where all the bars, restaurants and conveniences are located).

You can find directions to Nacpan Beach by typing in this address on Google Maps (or by clicking the link):
Nacpan Beach, Sitio Calitang, Barangay Bucana, El Nido, 5313 Palawan, Philippines

How To Get To Nacpan Beach

You can get to Nacpan Beach via motorbike, tricycle, or El Nido Tour E.

Most of the way there is on nice paved roads, and then it gets a little bumpy when you get closer to the beach.

Before that piece of information scares you off, don’t fret. It’s nothing anyone can’t handle and Nacpan Beach is BEYOND worth it!

MOTORBIKE

Hiring a motorbike will only cost about $5 per day, so if you’re confident enough to ride a bike, this is definitely the most cost efficient way to get to Nacpan Beach.

TRICYCLE

If you don’t happen to be confident riding a motorbike, you have the option to pay someone to take you there and back on a tricycle.

If you don’t know, a tricycle is a motorbike with another tire, more seats (it can fit about 5 people), and a roof. It’s basically the tuk-tuk of the Philippines.

Taking a tricycle will be more expensive at around $20 (negotiable) as you are paying the person for pretty much an all-day service, as they will take you there, wait for you until you’re done at the beach, and take you back to where you’re staying.

EL NIDO TOUR E

Another way to get to Nacpan Beach is on El Nido Tour E (Inland Beaches and Waterfalls).

This is one of the less popular tours to do in El Nido, as most people opt for El Nido boat tours A through D to see some of the most exquisite sites that are only accessible by boat.

How To Get To El Nido Palawan

There are multiple ways to get to the beautiful El Nido Palawan, depending on where you’re coming from.

  • Ferry – the best way to get from Coron to El Nido
  • Minivan – if you’re traveling from Puerto Princesa
  • Plane – El Nido has an airport called Lio Airport, so try to find flights here if you’re coming from another destination such as Manila!

All the juicy details on how to get to El Nido are in this blog – The Ultimate Guide To El Nido Palawan.

Best Time To Visit Nacpan Beach

This is one of the few tourist destinations in the world that is never really crowded!

It runs for 4km so other travelers getting in your way will certainly not be an issue!

So basically what I’m saying is you can visit Nacpan Beach at any time during the day or week, and it will be perfect every time.

Don’t think you’ll have the beach completely to yourself, however, as there are hotels and some restaurants located directly on the beach.

At Nacpan Beach you can be nearly completely isolated but at the same time be within walking distance to food and accommodation.

Where To Stay In El Nido

We have an entire blog dedicated to The Best El Nido Accommodation For Backpackers, but I’ve listed two hostels that I know most of you will love!

Do I Need To Stay In Nacpan Beach?

No. You do not need to stay in or near Nacpan Beach.

Seeing as it is located 30-minutes from El Nido Town, staying in Nacpan Beach means you aren’t exactly close to any bars, restaurants, convenience stores or ATMs.

You can very easily get to Nacpan Beach from El Nido Town by motorbike or tricycle.

If you do want to stay in Nacpan Beach however, it is beyond beautiful to be able to wake up in the morning to the faint sounds of the waves breaking and walking straight out to the perfect spot on the sand to sunbake.

I prefer to stay in El Nido Town because it’s where all the restaurants and beach bars are located, and rent a motorbike for when I want to explore El Nido and spend a day at Nacpan Beach!
