Holy moly! It has been a hot minute since I last posted on my blog.
“Who am I?” You may ask. My name is Candice. Hi! Thanks for stopping by. In the past, I have blogged a lot about my Mental Health and a bit about my travels. No no no, wait. I blogged a ton about my travels but I was so focused on creating content that I thought other people would want to read and I ended up getting overwhelmed and stressed when trying to write instead of just doing what I wanted to do.
I write because it makes me feel better. Putting down in words how I am feeling like writing in my diary. I write about my travels to let my friends and family know that I am ok and to keep those memories so I have something to show when I am old. I had to realize that I truly, write for myself before anyone else.
So, I thought it was time for a fresh start with a clearer vision of what I want to do. And… I also lost my old content because I did not back it up properly so it’s a good time to make the best of the situation.
Again, “who am I?”
I am a Canadian who has been living in Thailand for over a year. I left Canada with the dream of travelling the world because I felt like there was more than what my life back home had to offer. Oh, and also, I struggle with some pretty intense mental health issues. I am a super emotional, overthinker who constantly struggles with social situations and has now backpacked just over 10 countries. I have stayed in hostels, met so many amazing people and have grown so much as a person. My mental health used to control me and now I want to share how I control it. Anyways, more about that later!
Consider this Voyage-Bound 2.0! I will once again be writing about my travels (both past and future), my anxieties and things I do to help conquer them, as well as a new segment about living as an expat. I may bring back some similar posts but all new written content.
If you were here before, welcome back! And if you are new, I hope you stick around for a while.
Thanks!
