What Are Handmade Soaps?

How the soap turns out will depend on its recipe and the combination of oil used. Unlike the mass-produced soaps, handmade ones are natural and do not use detergents, lathering agents, artificial fragrance, and other synthetic ingredients.

WORTH IT/SKIP IT?
It’s a definite yes from me! Once I started using St Botanica’s handmade soaps, I never went back to using commercial brands. I could feel the difference from the first wash. My skin felt nourished, supple, and healthier.
They smell divine and have a long-lasting smell. Nothing says a good shower than the lingering fragrance you get throughout the day. These luxury handmade soaps are now 100% in my bath routine.
Coming to a drawback, buying an INR 275 soap vs INR 50 does not seem justifiable or viable to many. But investing in these soaps is definitely worth the money. Instead of stocking up on moisturizer, these luxury handmade soaps do a job in keeping skin soft and supple. From the days where I couldn’t go a day without body lotions, I do not feel the need to spend the same amount of money anymore.
HOW ARE HANDMADE SOAPS BETTER THAN COMMERCIAL SOAPS?BRANDS
Handmade soaps are made with raw and natural ingredients, while some of the formulations of mass-produced brands are not even considered soaps. They use harsh detergents and hardening agents that can leave your skin dry and damaged.
Since Glycerin, which attracts moisture, is a by-product of the soap making process, handmade soaps are naturally more nourishing. Many commercial soaps use Palm Oil for the same.
