Schedule of Activities of the 25th Panagbenga Festival, 2020

  • December 16, 2019: The launching day of the festival, which is commenced on Baguio City Hall grounds with Press Conference at Multipurpose Hall.
  • February 1, 2020: the opening day of the ceremony, observed by the grand parade and fireworks display. The parade will continue from Panagbenga Park to DILG to Session Road to Magsaysay to Harrison Road to Baguio Athletic Bowl.
  • February 1 to March 8: The Baguio Blooms Exposition is held on these days on Baguio Convention Center Parking Area with Landscaping Exhibition and Competition on designated areas in CBD/Parks.
  • February 13 to February 15: These three days are for the School-based Landscaping Competition (Judging) held on the elementary and high schools, which have participated in the competition.

  • February 16, 2020: The Sunday will see several grand events one after the other, which means that the celebration will be at its peak on this day. The games are named as – Handog ng Panagbenga Sa Pamilya Baguio, Let a Thousand Flowers Bloom, Panagbenga Open Kite Flying Competition, Panagbenga Cultural Show and Fireworks Display. The events will be held on the Melvin Jones Grandstand and Football Grounds.
  • February 22, 2020: This Saturday, there will be mainly two events covering the program. The Panagbenga Cultural Dance Competition on the Melvin Jones Grandstand and Football Grounds, and the Flower Tee Golf Tournament on the Baguio Country Club.
  • February 29, 2020: The Panagbenga Grand Street Dance Parade 2020 will be held on this day, which is a much-awaited event of the festival. The parade will be carried from the Panagbenga Park to DILG to Session Road to Magsaysay Avenue to Harrison Road and ending on the Baguio Athletic Bowl.

  • March 1, 2020: The Panagbenga Grand Float Parade is something beautiful to watch and enjoy. This event of 2020 will be held on March 1, and the procession will flow from the DILG to Session Road to Harrison Road to Melvin Jones Grandstand and Football Grounds.
  • February 29 and March 1, 2020: It is the Sponsor’s Day, which will be commenced on the Baguio Athletic Bowl for the event of February 29 and on the Melvin Jones Football Grounds for the function of March 1.
  • March 2 to March 8, 2020: The seven-day long program will be pursued by enclosing the Session Road with exhibits under the event named as Session Road in Bloom. One of the most crowd generating activities of the Panagbenga Festival, this event is exquisitely carried out by the locals.
  • March 7, 2020: This is the day when all the pony boys and horse trainers will be honored by the event named the Pony Boy’s Day, which is carried out on the Wright Park.

  • March 8, 2020: This is the ending day of the whole festival and will be observed the Closing, Award Ceremonies, and the Grand Fireworks display. The events will be carried out on Baguio Athletic Bowl, and the fireworks are to be held from 5 stations City-wide.
