1. Dwarkadheesh Temple, Mathura

The Dwarkadhish Temple in Mathura is very preserve reclassifies the historical backdrop of Mathura. One Seth Gokul Das Parikh who was the treasurer of the estate of Gwalior built Dwarkadhish temple that is dedicated to Lord Krishna. What makes this temple look apart from other Shri Krishna temples of India is the fact that here procedures, practices, sacraments, and rituals are not like other Hindu temples, they are quite different.

5. Udupi Sri Krishna Matha, Udupi, Karnataka

The Udupi Shri Krishna Matha is an important religious center for the Hindus, and is one of the famous temples of Lord Krishna in India. The temple was originally founded by Shri Madhwacharya, a Vaishnavite saint, in the 13th century, who was also the founder of Dvaita school of Vedanta. Resembling a holy ashram, the temple is known globally for its religious customs, traditions, and the upholder of Tatvavaada philosophy or Dvaita.

6. Shri Nathji Temple, Nathdwara, Rajasthan

Shrinathji Temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna and the term ‘Nathdwara’ suggests the ‘gate of the lord’. The temple was built by Goswami priests in 1672 AD. Shrinathji is treated as Thakorji or Shethji of the haveli and is been served rather than worshipped. Made of pure marble, the architecture of the temple was quite simple yet praiseworthy. Its interiors were adorned with the signature Pichhwai paintings depicting the ubiquitous theme of Rasleela.

7. Shamlaji Temple, Samalaji, Gujarat

Shamlaji, (Shamalaji) is a major Hindu pilgrimage center in Aravalli district of Gujarat, India. The Shamlaji temple is dedicated to Vishnu or Krishna is built probably in 11th century in Chaulukya style and renovated at least 500 years ago. The temple is built of white sandstone and brick. 8. Balakrishna Temple, Hampi, Karnataka

According to the history, Bala Krishna Temple was built by Krishnadevaraya of Vijayanagara Empire in 1513 AD. He built this temple to commemorate his victory over Prataparudra Gajapati, the ruler of the eastern kingdom of Udayagiri (now Orissa) which is mentioned in the inscriptions on the slab. A distinctive feature of the temple is its tower walls. This is one of the few temples where the epic stories carved on the walls of the tower.

9. Guruvayur temple, Guruvayur, Kerala

Guruvayur is a temple town in Kerala’s Thrissur district which is well known for the renowned shrine dedicated to Lord Sree Krishna. The temple is known as Dwaraka of South India. The main deity here is Maha Vishnu, who is worshipped in the form of Krishna. The idol here depicts him in a standing posture, with four arms each carrying a conch, discus, mace and lotus. The big tank in the temple is claimed to be the place where Lord Shiva family worshiped Vishnu.
