Fazenda de Esparanza

Lovely! ^_^

The place is a Catholic drug rehabilitation center by which the residents are taught of ways to earn money through farming, doing household chores and milking cows. Some of the products is transported and can be brought in store in Masbate City besides St. Anthony of Padua Cathedral, please do support them by buying some of the product. I suggest that you try their Leche Flan, it is creamy and delicious, perfect for pandesal as spread for breakfast. *wink

Fazenda de Esperanza is located in the town of Milagros, a 1 – 1 ½ hour UV-Express ride from city of Masbate and considered as one of the tourist spots near the city. If you are not sure where exactly is the UV-Express terminal, you can ride a trike and ask the driver to drop you off there. After arriving, look for the van that has “Balud” signage and ask the conductor that you will be going to Fazenda de Esperanza.

As I arrived at the gate, I was a bit hesitant and afraid to enter due to solitary feeling but thankfully I did, residents in the area are cheerful and they let me take pictures of the establishment and facilities inside. The center is surrounded by green pastureland hills so if you are looking for an IG worthy of a shot, this is the place to be.

Editor’s Note:

  • Make sure to fully charge your power bank and gadgets.
  • Please do support the organization by buying some of their products.
  • Use basic protection for: skin = sunblock, eyes = shades, hair = cap, feet = Good trekking shoes.
  • Please observe the golden rule LNT “LEAVE NO TRACE” and CAYGO “CLEAN AS YOU GO”.
