Attack on Mumbai

I will remember the 26th November, 2008 with sadness, anger and frustration. I feel sorrow and a strange sense of shame. Why as a nation we fail to act against the repeated acts of Terror on unsuspecting people of country? Our Political Leaders and policy maker IAS officers have failed us yet again. There is no definite planning against terror attacks, simply because our political leaders are well protected. When such incidents happen, we lose some brave policeman or army personnel. And, very conveniently, we forget about them after a few days. News Channels show the tamasha of corrupt politicians, giggling film stars and antics of cricketers round the clock. They don’t have any time for brave armymen, keepers of our borders. Sad !We know who our enemies are, we have enough brave solders, competent planners, but corruption is so deep rooted that paying a bribe of a patty amount, anyone can transport anything, anybody can enter any where. In Delhi, you will find touts who will promise you a pass of the Parliament House. On New Delhi Junction, you will find a number of middlemen who successfully will secure a confirmed birth in any of the train, even if there is no availability as per the official reservation list. Worst of all, all of us are ready to accept the service of these people, it it serves our purpose.
