District Komiks’ Mini Food Van is Ready to Bring You Great Mediterranean & Filipino Food!

Don’t you just hate it when you’re craving for good Food, and you have to drive or commute to the place and wait in line before you get to eat? Well, we feel you – and we want to help you out! We came across this new restaurant in Antipolo City which creates original Mediterranean and Filipino food! Good news? They have a super cute food minivan which will go around town to serve you the best sandwiches and snacks you’ll definitely be craving for!

District Komiks has officially launched their new food initiative last Tuesday, December 19 to go around churches in Antipolo City for the Simbang Gabi. According to Ms. Carolyn, owner and chef, the goal of the District Komiks moving kitchen is to reach more people because she believes that everyone deserves affordable yet great food. Aside from this, the mini-van is also used for most of their catering gigs which their customers love. Who wouldn’t right? You have authentic Mediterranean food plus the sight of a vintage Volkswagen for your parties or events. Wow!

Best part is, they want to highlight one of Antipolo City’s delicacies – the cashew nut. That is why Ms. Carolyn and her son, started to brainstorm and ended up creating one of the people’s favorites, the Fried Suman which they serve both in their restaurant and in the minivan.

This super delicious dessert is made of thick sticks of sticky rice rolled on to mounds of crushed cashew and deep fried. Yum! This dish comes in three flavors which we all enjoyed!

Mango Flavor
Sugar Glaze Flavor
Chocolate Flavor

Aside from this, they have more food offerings which you will crave for like sandwiches and drinks. As Ms. Carolyn mentioned, the only comment they get from their customers is that their servings sizes are too generous. Personally though, we wouldn’t complain!

So if you’re around the area or looking for your next catering provider, put a check on District Komiks’ food van and you’ll surely go home with a full stomach and a happy heart.
