Peak to Powderkeg | Turangi event

The Peak to Powderkeg is an annual event that gives a kiwi twist to a normal winter triathlon.

The Peak to Powderkeg race starts with skiing or snowboarding down the 3.2 km snowline before transitioning to run 3.8 km. The course than takes you for a 12.5 km cycle to the bottom of Mountain Road. Here you will park your bike and push your legs to run the final distance to an awaiting beer (or lemonade for those underage) which must be skulled before crossing the finish line. The clock stops ticking once you slam your empty vessel down on the table.

Need some training? The Peak to Powerkeg team have you covered. They've teamed up with Train for Gain to bring you the perfect training program. Now you don't have any excuse not to enter.

Get your squad together and enter as a team, or be a lone wolf and compete the triathlon alone. As a team or an individual you can enter Junior or Open categories. Your team also the option to enter into the corporate category if you’re all from a local or national business. You can enter online or download this easy form

Once you’re done with this physically challenging task, head back to Parklands for a hearty meal or a soak in the spa. There is plenty of room to rack your bike, skis/snowboard, and the team, so get in touch today and book your accommodation for the Peak to Powderkeg Triathlon.
