Best restaurants in Ho Chi Minh City (non-vietnamese)

If you are a foodie in Ho Chi Minh City, here is a complete quick guide of places you must make some time for a feed. It is also a non-Vietnamese list of restaurants because let’s be honest, Vietnamese Food is so fabulous it needs its own page!

Cafe Marcel

Who doesn’t like an all-day breakfast joint… and a GOOD one! This place is quite new, under the same management as Marcel Burger. As you get up a few stairs, you enter a small but very beautiful area to have your feed. You can also go up another floor or all the way up to the beautiful rooftop. This place is totally worth a few visits so you can try all the items on the menu!

The Vintage Emporium, D2

With two locations, one in the centre in D1 and the other one in D2 in a very cute villa, The Vintage Emporium has found itself a niche in District 2 as one of the best breakfasts in town. As much they are known for their brekkie, we recommend you to go try their fantastic dinner menu, which we love a lot.

Pizza 4p’s

This place is the BEST pizza we have ever eaten. Of course, that’s our taste, we like their pizza a lot and use to go all the time when we lived here. They make their own cheese and it is made locally, in the hills of Da Lat. They follow a “Farm to Table” policy which is great.

El Gaucho

Fancy a good steak? This place is Saigon is our favourite until someone else shows us better! Simply love the bread and very well made garlic they also serve before your meal. Get a good caramel vodka shot at the end as well which they make, love it! The Mac and cheese as a side is also a must.

The Deck

One of our favourite places to go for a happy hour drink by the river in D2. The food is good too and if you live in the city, it’s a perfect place to bring your laptop and have drinks to do work.

L’Usine Space

Not only the space is wonderful, but we also love the food there. Once in a while, it would be a place we would go for breakfast or lunch but most importantly a great base for coffee, cupcakes and do some work!

Pasteur Street Brewing Company

Not only it is Vietnam’s first craft brewery and that their Imperial Chocolate Stout won gold at the World Beer Cup in 2016, their food if FANTASTIC. You will also be passing through an alleyway of very photogenic graffitis if you choose to visit their flagship spot on Pasteur Street in D1. If you fancy fruits try their mango and dragonfruit beers!
