After a long and stressful week leading up to Christmas, we needed a cafe where we can relax, unwind and get some things done. We drove along Beach Rd until Comptoir 102, a cozy little cafe with a concept store.
Located near Dubai Zoo in Jumeirah 1, Comptoir 102 is a cross between a healthy, organic restaurant and a cool hipster fashion, deco, furniture store, much in the same planning of our beloved L’usine in Saigon), Vietnam.
There is plenty of space for everyone, with a great outdoor setting that is especially charming during winter, some space inside, and a last patio area in the back.
Make sure you get around and take plenty of cool pics here. If you are into artsy like Thuymi is, you will most certainly like Comptoir 102.
We started out with some coffees – Chai Latte and Matcha Green Latte, with both being absolutely delicious.
We went went 3 breakfast meals by having Seaweed Pesto Salad, Acai Bowl and Buckwheat Pancakes and Green Eggs. The Seaweed Pesto, which contains guacamole was probably our favorite. Thuymi didn’t think my pick of the eggs was super tasty, but it was very healthy tasty for me. Can’t always have both! At Comptoir 102, they make sure the food is not fat, but the healthiest possible.
We would recommend this spot to meet up with friends in mornings, get some work done (although charge up before, there are no charging spots unless you go to specific spots) or to stock up on all of your artsy gadgets like Washi Tape for scrapbooking and journaling!
