Janai Purnima is a culturally significant festival in Nepal. "Janai" and "Purnima" mean sacred thread and full moon in Nepali which brings Nepal's festival season. This holy event is observed every full moon in Shrawan where males who wear Janai bathe in the nearby river sunrise and switch their Janai to new one.
