Mumbai is a beautiful and happening city. So, if you are not from Mumbai there are some things you might want to know before you decided to go there. Things you should do and things you should avoid for your own wellbeing.

Food: People often enjoy the local Food when they visit another city. Mumbai offers amazing street food which will leave you licking your fingers. But if you can’t eat spicy food ignore the street food, it is not for you.

Local Train: You may have heard about the local trains of Mumbai. They are really crowded and there is no space to set your feet properly because the whole city uses the local trains. If you don’t like crowded spaces don’t ride the local train, use taxi service or bus.

Don’t Drive Yourself: If you think you are a good driver and want to rent a vehicle to go around Mumbai, don’t do it, it will be a big mistake. Use taxi services or ask your hotel to book one for you. The traffic is very high in Mumbai you will be stuck for hours. Local drivers know all the shortcuts let them drive you where you want to go.

Don’t Drink Tap Water: If you are travelling inside the city, don’t drink tap water. Use bottled water it is safer that way. Not all the places are bad but to be safe, use bottled water.

Proper Clothes: If you are planning on visiting any religious place, make sure to dress properly like don’t wear shorts or anything like that. Keep a clean handkerchief with you because some of the religious places require you to cover your head. Don’t wear any leather products in these places.

Walk Carefully: You need to walk carefully in some places. In some places there is caution required because of the pick pocketers. Don’t let your luggage or bags leave your site. As, you will see lots of people walking you never even know when you things might be stolen. So, be a little cautious. Also, be cautious about where you are walking, you might not want to step into something bad, especially when walking on footpaths.

Don’t Wander Alone: If you are new to this city don’t wander alone at night. At least not without any identification or identification of the place you are staying. There are some other things to worry about at night. So, if you want to go somewhere go with someone and if you are travelling alone, stay in the crowded palaces. This is a common thing to know when you are visiting a new place.
