when life gets rough and you feel left-out all you need is a bike ride to get back in your zone.
Two guys ..two bikes..and 700 km's to enjoy monsoon..
ROUTE MAP |
And the Madness continues, this time it was Kodaikanal and Dindigul biriyani..
It's not my first time in Kodai, but this time it was special because i was going to try the famous Thalappakatti Biriyani..
So,we packed our bags and left early to beat the traffic and stopped at Kumily for breakfast. After enjoying hot dosa and coffee we set our maps to dindigul and started. The roads from kumily to dindigul were so good ..you could cruise at triple digit speed all day long..
By 1:30 p.m we reached Dindigul and search for the restaurant began..it took a lot of wrong turns and dead ends to find the place. it was located at the heart of the city and that made it even more difficult, finally we found the place and waited patiently for our meal to arrive and when it did, it was a visual treat for the eyes and without wasting any time we enjoyed it...it's a sensory overload for the taste buds.so if you enjoy food its a must try..
We were stuffed after the heavy meal and kodaikanal was some 100 km's away, so we decided to call it a day and left Dindigul for a early check-in at Kodaikanal..
Soon the highways ended and Temperature came down as we climbed the mountain roads..
By 5 p.m we were at Kodai and the climate was so good..it was raining slightly and we found the hotel that we were staying for the night..

DAY-2
woke up early and went straight to Dolphin point and Guna caves..it's a treat for your eyes especially in the morning..by the time we finished site seeing breakfast was ready for us at the hotel and we went back to have it.
After a traditional breakfast we checked-out and went out to enjoy the rest of kodaikanal..The roads around Kodai were really good with long sweeping corners and stretches where the KTM 390 AND CBR were so much fun to play around with and we got to test our cornering abilities too.;) ;D
By noon we decided to head back home, and as we came down the mountain range temperature shot up and with all the riding gears it got pretty hot on the highways as well..but there was no sign of rain anywhere.. just random showers here and there..but nature didn't disappoint us, as we entered Kerala borders heavens opened up..
and within no time roads were covered in Mist and rain and it made the ride even more fun...but it slowed us down even more..
FOG AND RAIN..IT WAS PERFECT.. |
By 7pm we were back home..and memories were made..i was a bit skeptical about the CBR when i choose it over my KTM DUKE 390 but it proved to be really good on the highways as well as the twisty bits in between..its a really well built machine..
