Ganpatipule Temple
Ganpatipule is a village set within the Ratnagiri district on the Konkan coast of geographical region,in the sub-continent of India. The city of Chiplun is found to its north.According to native traditional knowledge, the Hindu god Ganesh, taking offence at a remark created by a native girl, moved to Pulé from his original abode of Gulé. so the region was named Ganpati-pulé.The 400-year-old Ganpati idol at Ganpatipule is alleged to own sprung up from the soil.This deity faces the west,to guard the western gates, in contrast to deities in different Indian temples face the east. The temple is at the bottom of a hill, and pilgrims walk around (pradakshina) the Hill as a mark of respect.
The beautiful village of Velneshwar, set north of the Shastri stream, has its own peaceful, coconut-fringed beach, wherever one will relax in tranquility. The village comes alive every year throughout the Maha Shivaratri honest, once pilgrims in giant numbers visit the previous Shiva Temple. per lore, a fisher had found a sculpture in his web that he had promptly thrown back to the ocean. He once more found the sculpture back in his web. enraged by this he banged the sculpture on a stone, however the sculpture started bleeding. The fisher picked up the sculpture and place it in an exceedingly little temple that then grew into the Velneshwar Shiva Temple.
