Most Military Spouses choose to stay home. Whether it is due to kids or simply not being able to find a job due to the countless moves that we endure. However, most have great success working from home as you typically can choose your own hours or work around the kiddos schedule. So without further ado, here are some work at home jobs for military spouses that I have run across.
Full & Part Time Jobs
Leapforce – conduct in-depth internet-based research and provide information evaluation for leading companies from around the globe. Ideal candidates are self-reliant, self-motivated, are very internet savvy, have a broad range of interests and enjoy online research and evaluation.
Appen: Social Media Evaluator
MadSkills: Founded by an Army Spouse. Virtual job board for virtual jobs. Free to join and use as a military spouse.
Wise Advise: Founded by military spouses. Virtual assistant jobs as well as other virtual jobs.

Extra Spending Money
While these won’t pay the bills, they do produce some extra spending money during your free time.
MyPoints – This is so simple and really comes in handy to cash out the points for gift cards at Christmas. You sign up (free) and then you receive emails. When you click the “Get Points” link in the email, you get 5 points. You can also get points by completing surveys and polls on their website as well as just shopping online at places you normally shop. Points add up super fast. I have been a member for 4 years and each year at Christmas I cash out to buy presents =) You can read more about it here.
EBates – When you shop through the Ebates site at major retailers you earn a percentage back in CASH.
Achievemint– This one is really cool and requires no effort on your part other than syncing your fitness tracker to it. You basically get paid to walk! It is free to sign up and to use.
YouGov – This is a survey company which mostly deals in surveys about politics and government, however, they do generic everyday surveys as well. Points add up really quickly, surveys are short and easy, and you trade your points in for gift cards to popular stores like Amazon, Target, K-Mart, Lowe’s, Sears, etc…
Freelancer – Have something your good at? Typing, proofreading, web design, or something else? Look for jobs on Freelancer and bid the amount you would charge. Per their website, “Freelancer is free to sign up, create a profile, select skills of projects you are interested in, upload a portfolio, receive project notifications, discuss project details with the employer, bid on projects (free members receive initially 8 bids per month) and enter contests.”
Teachable – If you have a skill you can turn in to a teachable class, think about making an online course. Teachable helps you achieve just that.
Fat Lama – So this is a little different. Make money by renting out stuff you own. Maybe you have an old musical instrument lying around, or last years model of the GoPro. Seriously, you can put just about anything on there for rent!
Oak Tree Network – For Military Spouses only. From the website, “OakTree was created to encourage military spouse entrepreneurship and to connect spouses with Talents to share with other local military spouses. Military spouses already belong to this network – OakTree is simply the marketplace that brings us together and truly allows us to support and inspire each other.”
