Singtam Bhanu Jayanti Celebration Committee selected

18.03.22, Singtam, The coordination meeting for the 209th Bhanu Jayanti Celebration was held at Singtam Nagar Panchayat Community Hall. Rohit Raj Maharaj, Advisor to the Chief Minister of Sikkim had graced the meeting as the Sabhapati. Distinguish guests from different sections of the society were present on the occasion.  

Meeting passed out resolutions to organize a grand celebration of the birth anniversary of Bhanu Bhakta, a nepali literary legend. Different coordinators were selected for the smooth functioning of the celebration.  


Some of the distinguished people nominated for the Bhanu Jayanti Celebration Committee are as follows – Advisor (Shri Suresh Tamang, (President, Singtam Nagar Panchayat) and his Councilors, and others. President – Dr. MK Sharma (Health Minister and Area MLA Khamdong-Singtam Constituency, Vice President – Rohit Raj Maharaj (Advisor to the HCM), Shri Bhanu Pradhan (OSD to the HCM), Shri BB Chettri (Chairman, Cooperation Department) and Shyam Rai, General Secretary – Shri Mohan Pradhan ‘Neeraj’, Joint Secretary – Shri Mahesh Dahal, Program Coordinator – Shri Sundar Rai, Treasurer – Shri Gajanand Agarwal and others.  




Highlight of this year Bhanu Jayanti celebration shall be the installation of copper statue of the ‘Adikavi’ Bhanu Bhakta at the Bhanu Udhyan, Singtam, where the first phase of the program shall be held thereafter for the next phase of the day long program the venue shall be at Singtam bazaar, opposite Police Station.  

Competitions on Ramayana path, poetry, culture, and traditional dress for the students as well as for others shall be held, the audition dates shall be announced soon reads the press release. Next meeting shall be held on June 23, 2022.
