Each Cotterman rolling ladder series offers slight variations between them designed to fit your specific needs and we’ll spotlight some of their features and differences here. All of the Cotterman products listed below meet applicable OSHA and ANSI standards. CAL-OSHA models are also available. The standard finish for these ladders is the Gray powder coat, but are also available in 10 other powder-coated colors!


Cotterman 1000 Series Rolling Ladders

When you choose the 1000 Series Rolling Ladders they come ready-to-use. The 1000 series are constructed with 1″ steel tubing and offer a choice of 1 to 12 steps; perfect when you have a need for a specific height in a warehouse rolling ladder.

This model is very similar to the 1500 series with one main difference being that the 1000 series Rolling Ladders are shipped fully assembled.

The 1000 series rolling ladders also offer all of the following:

  • 59-degree climbing angle.
  • 450 lb. Load Capacity.
  • Handrails from 1 – 12 steps, and without handrails for 1 – 4 steps.
  • Steps that are 7″ deep and offer a choice of tread.
  • Are available in 16″, 24″, or 30″ tread widths.
  • Top steps that are 10″, 20″, or 30″ deep.
  • Spring-loaded 2″ casters on 3 to 4 step ladder models and SafeLocks® on larger ladder models.

Cotterman 1200 Series Rolling Ladders

The 1200 series Cotterman rolling ladders come with eight steps fully assembled and 9 – 15 steps partially assembled to save on shipping costs. The full steel construction makes these rolling ladders very strong and a great choice for your warehouse.
The 1200 series also offer the following:

  • 50-degree climbing angle.
  • Handrails for 3 steps and over, and an option for no handrails on the third or fourth step.
  • Steps that are 7″ deep and offer a choice of tread.
  • Are available in 16″, 24″, or 30″ tread widths.
  • Top steps that are 10″, 20″, or 30″ deep.
  • Spring-loaded 2″ casters on 1 to 4 step ladder models and SafeLocks® on larger ladder models.

Cotterman 1500 Series Rolling Ladders

The 1500 series rolling ladders are very similar to the 1000 series. One main difference is that the 1500 series come in 3 to 16 steps with handrails.

They are shipped partially assembled which helps keep the shipping costs down. But don’t be discouraged!  The assembly only takes 15-30 minutes depending on the size. And the 1500 series rolling ladders also come with all of the following:

  • 59-degree climbing angle.
  • 450 lb. Load Capacity.
  • Handrails from 1 – 12 steps, and without handrails for 1 – 4 steps.
  • Steps that are 7″ deep and offer a choice of tread.
  • Are available in 16″, 24″, or 30″ tread widths.
  • Top steps that are 10″, 20″, or 30″ deep.
  • Spring-loaded 2″ casters on 3 to 4 step ladder models and SafeLocks® on larger ladder models.

Cotterman 1700 Series Rolling Ladders

The 1700 series rolling ladders are 9 steps (up to 15 steps) and come partially assembled to help make shipping cheaper. And like the 1500 series rolling ladders, the assembly only takes about 30 minutes!

All other attributes of the 1700 series rolling ladder matches the 1200 series:

  • 50-degree climbing angle.
  • Handrails for 3 steps and over, and an option for no handrails on the third or fourth step.
  • Steps that are 7″ deep and offer a choice of tread.
  • Are available in 16″, 24″, or 30″ tread widths.
  • Top steps that are 10″, 20″, or 30″ deep.
  • Spring-loaded 2″ casters on 1 to 4 step ladder models and SafeLocks® on larger ladder models.
