Designing an A/V Solution

Recently, Rahi was selected by a global cryptocurrency exchange company for its audiovisual and Wireless Network Implementation.

Rahi’s A/V team advised the customer on the design of three small conference rooms and one larger conference room. The cryptocurrency exchange company chose Google video conferencing and collaboration services, and Aruba wireless networking. The Rahi team implemented the A/V equipment and integrated Google conference and collaboration technologies.

Getting the Network Right

Our A/V team works closely with our networking experts. Most A/V equipment today is connected to the data network, both for ease of access by users and connectivity with cloud-based services. Network connectivity also gives IT visibility into A/V systems, simplifying maintenance and administration.

However, getting the network right can be tricky, particularly when A/V equipment and users are connecting wirelessly. The Wi-Fi network must have the coverage and capacity to support growing numbers of devices and ever-increasing amounts of data, and provide the bandwidth and performance to support latency-sensitive applications.

The customer had selected Aruba wireless equipment for its network. The Rahi team surveyed the customer’s facility and determined the best placement for the Aruba access points (APs). Rahi also installed the Aruba 9012 gateway, which unifies the customer’s LAN, wireless LAN, WAN, and security in one compact, cost-efficient device.

Aruba 9000 Series gateways are ideal for branch and small campus networks, providing high levels of performance and security with software-defined branch functionality, allowing organizations to consolidate multiple network and security functions. Easily configured and managed using the Aruba Central cloud-based platform, the Aruba 9000 Series gateways enable streamlined administration and consistent policy enforcement.
