The NCA-1031, powered by the Intel® Atom™ x7-E3950 or x5-E3930 processor, is a desktop form factor network appliance designed for entry-level network security, gateway or vCPE.
Intel®’s Atom™ E3900 series CPUs aim to handle the rapid and ever growing complexity of network infrastructures by delivering the much needed compute performance and power efficiency for edge security deployment. As a vCPE for such deployment scenario, the NCA-1031, built upon x86 open architecture, offers flexibility for running various software.
In addition to the nimble and robust CPU, the NCA-1031 also features 6x or 5x GbE RJ45 Ethernet ports, 1x RJ45 console port, 2x pairs of generation 3 bypass (by SKU), dual USB 3.0 ports, 1x HDMI and 1x mini-PCIe socket (by SKU). In terms of system memory, the platform supports up to 8GB of DDR3L Non-ECC SO-DIMM.
