Early life and family

Molly Line was born on January 31, 1977 in West Virginia, USA. Not much information is known about her family, other than a photo she had with her mother that she posted to her Twitter account when she greeted her on Mother’s Day in 2019.

She graduated from Tucker County High School in Hambleton, West Virginia in 1995. She graduated in 1999 with a bachelor’s degree in mass communication and political science from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.

Career

First steps

Molly competed in the Miss West Virginia beauty pageant four times, the first time in 1995 as Miss Tucker County, the second time in 1997 as Miss Greater Bluefield Area in which she placed as one of the top ten semifinalists, the third time in 1999. as Miss Canaan Valley, and most recently in 2000 as Miss Rhododendron, in which she won the Miss Preliminary Talent Award and placed third in Miss West Virginia.

On October 14, 2012, Molly did a live coverage of what became the deadliest elementary school mass shooting in US history. 20-year-old Adam Lanza killed his 52-year-old mother, Nancy, in their home, then drove his mother’s car to Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, killing a total of 26 people, 20 of whom were six and seven-year-old children and the rest of the school staff.

The first 911 call was made around 9:35 a.m. He committed suicide five minutes before Newton Police entered the school grounds at 9:45 a.m.
