How to Unlock HTC 10 Bootloader
- Go to HTCDev.com and register.
- After registering and verifying your account, click on Unlock Bootloader.
- Select “All Other Supported Models” from the dropdown list and then click on “Begin Unlock Bootloader” button.
- Read the warning message and click on “Yes”.
- Click on “Proceed to unlock Instructions”
- Download HTC fastboot file and extract it to C:\ drive.
- Turn-off your device and reboot into bootloader mode. (Hold Volume Down + Power Button).
- From the menu, highlight fastboot using volume keys and select it using power button.
- Open CMD on PC and type:
cd c:\fastboot
- Now type:
fastboot oem get_identifier_token
- A long string will be generated. Copy it by following instruction given here.
- Paste the copied identifier on HTCDev page and click on submit.
- You will now get an email from HTC containing Unlock_code.bin file. Download it and copy/paste in fastboot folder.

Now in CMD, type:
fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin
- On your phone, read all the instructions and accept using Volume and power keys.
- Done.
Your HTC 10 bootloader is now unlock. The next step is to root and install TWRP recovery on it.
