How to Resolve MX Player DTS and AC3 Audio Problem

MX Player is the best Medial player currently available on the Google Play (in our opinion). It has a clean and simple design loaded with tons of features.

Unfortunately some recent updates took away the DTS and AC3 audio support from MX player. But don’t worry here is How you can Resolve MX Player DTS and AC3 Audio Problem.

How to Resolve MX Player DTS and AC3 Audio Problem

  1. Download the supported AC3 and DTS audio codecs from this thread.
  2. Open MX player.
  3. The player should automatically detect the new custom codec.
  4. If it doesn’t then don’t worry. Go to MX Player Settings > Decoder > Custom Codec and select the downloaded file.
  5. Restart MX Player.
  6. Check if the custom codecs have loaded. You can do that by visiting the about section of the player.
  7. Done.

You have now successfully restored MX Player DTS and AC3 Audio support. Enjoy!
