Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman addresses the Press Conference on Thursday and announced that Central Government is going to distribute free food grains to all migrant workers for next two months so as to feed them in this caronavirus pandemic situation. All Migrant workers will be provided 5 Kg Grains  per person and 1 Kg Chenna per family. for two months which will benefit eight crore workers.

As a part of reviving the Indian Economy Yesterday she had announced activities that benefits MSMEs and today she came up with some more measures (Nine) related to street vendors, housing, migrant workers, small farmers, Tribal Employment generations and small traders. The Central Government had already given permission to states to utilize State Disaster Response Funds (SDRF) so as to provide food and shelter to all migrant workers. On this behalf Central Government has already released Rs 11002 crore funds in advance. The State government will be responsible for successful implementation of measures as according to guidelines issued by central government.

In order to access public distribution system from any fair price shop for Migrant Workers  Central government is planning to implement "One Nation One Ration Card" that helps their families to access food in other states. The Central government is expecting that all states will complete the automation process by March 2021.

The Central Government under PMAY scheme will ensure Affordable rental accommodation facility for all Migrant workers or Urban Poor people. The Govt is also planning to launch Rs 5000 crore special credit facility for street vendors and also Rs 70,000 Crore boost to housing sector and middle income group through Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme(CLSS). The govt plans Rs 6000 worth Compensatory Afforestation Management & Planning Authority (CAMPA) Funds will be approved shortly that will help to create job opportunities in rural and semi urban areas and also for Tribals.

Finance Minister also announces Rs 30,000 crore additional emergency working capital fund for farmers for crop loans through NABARD. She also says that Over 2 lakh crore Concessional credit through Kisan Credit Cards will be extended that will boost 2.5 crore framers.
