Telangana became the first state in India to extend the Covid-19 Pandemic Lock down till May 29. Telangana Chief Minister Mr K. Chandra Sekhar Rao announced on Tuesday that the state will continue the lock down till May 29 and the state government would follow the guidelines as prescribed by Central Government. The Government will also allow some activities/relaxations on Orange and Green Zones except the Red zones.The state is going to continue 7 PM to 7 AM night curfew during the lock down.

The Chief Minister K. Chandra Sekhar Rao said that all the shops stay open in all villages and mandal head quarters. In Municipalities only 50% of shops would open based on lottery decision. The Government will decide on Bus Transportation in Green Zones only after May 15. He told that there will be a high level special meeting to review the situation after that some more relaxations like Operating RTC Transport in Green Zones and allowing some more shops to open in Hyderabad. Autos and Cabs will run in both Green and Orange Zones from Wednesday.  The Government is going to continue Ban on religious congregations and meetings all over the state. 

After 15th we can get clear pictures regarding the improvements from all major metropolitan cities like Delhi Mumbai and Chennai. Telangana Govt also took decision to operate private offices with 33% of staff from Wednesday where as Government offices will function with 100% staff. Other Departments like Stamps,Registrations and RTA will also start operating in all Zones. 

Central Government has put six districts (Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, Vikarabad, Malkajgiri, Warangal (Urban) and Medchal) in Telangana under Red Zone and Nine districts under Green zone and remaining 18 districts under Orange Zone.KCR also said that 11 special trains will be operated to send workers in phases to several parts of the country to their home towns.
